Self-knowledge, ATMA VIDYA आत्मा विद्या:

Who Are We Really?

It is because there is nothing like the human being and Atma Vidya teaches us the truth of who we are that it has always been valued as man’s highest teaching.

Most religious and spiritual traditions talk of an eternal destination, an ultimate goal yet to be reached. Yet, other than Vedanta/Upanishad, few declare that the eternal destination is already reached and the ultimate goal already accomplished simply by being born human.

The Upanishads declare, as ‘the son’s and daughters of immortality’ our immortality is already pre-ordained by birth. Proclaiming that by nature we already are the absolute and our eternal destination is already permanently reached means no one can ever get lost and no human being is excluded.

Unfortunately, we just don’t know that.

The Advaita teaching ATMA VIDYA आत्माविद्य has always shone a huge light on man’s existence, revealing our true eternal destiny and nature.

Having stood the test of time, being no other more eloquent or intelligent solution and having no equivalent, especially in times of deep crisis, countless generations have benefited from it’s timeless wisdom.

When the teaching’s first threatened to disappear 2500 years ago, to prevent the knowledge going extinct, India’s great revivalist and saint, Adi Shankara (509–477 BCE), dedicated his life to it’s revival.

Thinking by keeping it secret they could safeguard the teachings, after Shankara, priests hid the teaching so well, getting lost in religious taboo and orthodoxy it became so secret, it became a secret even to themselves.

Had India’s modern revivalists not stepped in to revive and rescue the teaching and rediscovered it’s methodology, Atma Vidya could have disappeared.

Dragging so-called ‘enlightenment’ out of the dark ages, knowledge that has always belonged exclusively to yogi monks, saints and sages and excluded women and the lower caste, has been translated into English and is being taught to children in primary schools.

Not long ago, a child being able to read and write would have been thought exceptional. Now, through education, children by the age of eight are expected to read and write or, thought to have a learning disability.

While its wisdom is universal, with its translation into English, Self-knowledge is no longer lost in exclusivity. No longer the exclusive preserve of single males who can read sanskrit, available to us all, the general public for the first time, soon, through education, knowing your true nature and eternal destination as a human being will no longer be the exception.

Especially with the advent of AI (artificial, or super intelligence) as machine’s threaten to replace and outpace human beings, Self-knowledge shows us as consciousness, not only are we the quickness itself – quicker than the speed of thought – it shows you this is what you have always been without having to do a thing!

Have you ever questioned your experience and origins and wanted to know the truth?

Have you ever wished the stars could speak?

Have you ever wanted answers, answering which there are no longer any questions

Then Self-knowledge is for you.

Let knowledge that is eternal speak to you through the timeless teachings of Self-knowledge.

Share in the timeless ageless wisdom that throughout the ages and civilisations of mankind has helped generations survive and overcome needless human suffering.

Using as little sanskrit as possible, (unless the concept does not exist in English) our popular ‘live’ online classes are available year round.
